Week 3 - Update

Update

This past week I continued to research how to incorporate inflator fans into the installation with minimal noise. I’m exploring the use of a fleet of smaller fans rather than one or two large, loud ones. I currently have an order out for SparkFun for squirrel fans as well as buttons and batteries to run them.

I am in the process of acquiring the material for the inflatable so I can begin sewing the maquette. I should have it by Thursday and plan on starting the fabrication ASAP.

I have also put in an order for wooden blocks so I can model the hard sculptural forms for the installation.

Feedback

Explore using an inlaid design on the tops of objects to make it look like purposeful projection mapping.

Using wood to fabricate the boxes is a good use of natural material to represent the natural world.

Make sure that construction of boxes is incredibly polished.
