Sweet Cow Ice Cream

April 2016 - Presentt

Ice Cream Maker/Trainer - Each of Sweet Cow's six locations make their own ice cream fresh, in shop, everyday. We want every scoop of Sweet Cow Ice Cream to taste the same in every shop and as an ice cream maker it is my job to execute that uniformity in every batch I make. I take pride in the quality of ice cream that I make and therefore am responsible for training new ice cream makers to ensure the quality of ice cream they make too.

Shift Lead - There is a "Sweet Cow Way" of doing everything in our shop. It is important as a shift lead for me to execute everything I do in the shop in a mindful and purposeful way. I lead my team by example and bring a positive energy into the shop everyday. As the most senior "scooper" at our Platt Park location in Denver, CO, I am often sought out as a resource for even our General Manager. I love my job here because I am able to create lasting connections with regular customers and I get to scoop up smiles everyday I am in the shop.

Programs Intern - My role at Colorado Young Leaders expanded far beyond the duty of just organizing meaningful and adventurous service-learning opportunities for highschoolers. I was part of a team who was engaged in helping craft future generations of young leaders in America into dynamic leaders who embody CYL's core values.

  • Connect with other local nonprofits to lead and facilitate meaningful Service Adventures
  • Assist in content creation for CYL advertising
  • Boost student membership through speaking events and outreach to Denver high school students
  • Create meaningful service opportunities for CYL’s students empowering them explore community change that they are passionate about
